Amazing station run by the sweetest folks. Got all the advice I needed to help start my own native garden at home, they selected some great picks for plants to kickstart our own ecosystem, and keep our small yard sane and functional. Will be back for sure!

Nice nursery. Old mom and pop place. Old gentleman there will walk you through every plant if you ask nicely

I’m slowly converting part of my bluegrass lawn to native plants—grasses, sedges, and forbs. Blooming Prairie Nursery is a great place to find loads of variety, along with knowledgeable growers to help you select the right plants. Use your GPS and look for the driveway across the road from Middle River Cemetery. The signs at the road are small, so pay attention or you might miss it, as one of my friends did. Go native!

A hidden gem - such a cool family-owned nursery with an excellent selection of native plants. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Most certainly worth the drive from Des Moines and the surrounding area. This was our first trip but we'll definitely be back in the future!

Such a great family owned and operated nursery. So helpful on helping us pick out the perfect variety of native wildflowers and giving us sound advice to start our own pollinator paradise. They even showed us their personal garden and where the worm cast is cultivated. It's a really great setup geared towards organic and native species. We were very impressed! Our little girl had a blast exploring and meeting the fury and fluffy animals around the farm. Definitely support local!
